Trombonist Curtis Fowlkes, who I first heard in 1986 with the Lounge
Lizards and the Jazz Passengers, has been scuffling with congestive coronary heart
failure and, in accordance with mates, “is starting the method of dwelling
palliative/hospice care.” A fundraiser has begun to assist “this section of
Curtis’ life be one among consolation and dignity.” All proceeds will go to
Curtis’ youngsters, Saadiah and Elisheba, to assist pay for Curtis’ care
Curtis performed with the Massive Apple Circus early on, a well-known incubator for

Reed, Bobby Previte et many al.
