Kesha has spoken about her upcoming album ‘Gag Order’, saying that she shares “lots of ugly feelings” in it.

Due for launch Might 19, the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Excessive Highway’ sees the singer work with Rick Rubin on the “anti-pop” file.

“An artist doesn’t exist to make others comfortable. I imagine an artist provides voice, movement, color to the feelings all of us have. The great feelings, and the unmanageably fucking depressing ones,” Kesha stated when the album was introduced final month.

Up to now, two tracks from ‘Gag Order’ have been launched:  ‘Eat The Acid’ and ‘High-quality Line’.  Each songs allude to the singer’s public struggles together with her authorized battle with producer Dr Luke.

In a brand new interview with The Guardian Kesha defined that “with this album I really acquired to get actually intimate and expose the edges of myself that I’m not probably the most happy with”.

‘Gag Order’ is about to be launched by RCA Data and Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Data.

In 2014, Kesha filed a lawsuit towards Dr Luke accusing him of bodily, sexual, and emotional abuse. He has denied all allegations and counter-sued Kesha for defamation and breach of contract. The trial date for the case has been scheduled for July 26.

“I’m at all times cognisant of the continuing litigation even once I’m simply telling the reality about how I’m feeling. Therefore the title of the album,” stated Kesha.
