Talking on her new single, LAYA shares, “You ever have someone attempt you? Tried you so arduous and so they ain’t even know what they was speaking about? Appears like they received you fucked up! And nah, nah it’s 2023 we not doing that this time. Time to place them haters on their again and inform ‘em give up with all that cap, since you received me… f****d up!”
“F’d Up” is LAYA’s first style of music since releasing her debut EP, Um, Howdy, in 2022 by way of Warner Data.
In an interview with Rated R&B, LAYA shared what she hoped listeners would take away from Um, Howdy.
“I hope individuals really feel impressed and motivated from this undertaking and the entire story behind it — my complete story. I hope they notice that there’s nothing out of grasp and which you can actually converse into existence what you need and manifest it,” she acknowledged.
“There are quite a lot of motivational messages in my music. It’s R&B, but it surely’s not all concerning the bed room or being in a membership. It’s stuff you would play in a membership, but it surely nonetheless motivates you on a special degree and makes you happy with your self.”
Um, Howdy included common tracks corresponding to “Brag” that includes Fivio International, “Loopy Down” and “Sailor Moon.” The latter track obtained an official remix that includes Child Tate.
