I Don’t Write My Songs – Shallipopi
Nigerian fast-rising street-pop artist Crown Uzama, popularly generally known as Shallipopi, has revealed that he doesn’t write any of his songs; as an alternative, they’re all freestyles.
Shallipopi, who gained fame with the street-hop hit “Elon Musk,” calls his methodology of making music “freestyling” in an interview with Cool FM Lagos.
He discloses that every one of his songs, together with these on his EP, Planet Pluto, which was launched on July 10, 2023, are freestyles. He provides that he merely spent two hours creating the EP.
When the OAP asks as as to if he finds songwriting troublesome, he responds that he freestyles on objective to make sure that the music sounds unpolished and never “too skilled.”
‘If I write it, it is going to be too skilled and too strict’, he mentioned. ‘It’s purported to be vibes and cruise’.
