After conquering the U.S. with the re-releases of their first three albums through Cleopatra Information, Zürich-based rockabilly phenoms The Hillbilly Moon Explosion are again with their thrilling rendition of the Smiths’ iconic hit “How Quickly Is Now?”. Accessible immediately at https://orcd.co/thehillbillymoonexplosion_howsoonisnow the monitor is the band’s first launch since their appearances on Dale Watson’s Jukebox Fury album (Cleopatra Information 2022) and, most just lately, their tribute to The Cramps with their cowl of “Primitive” (Cleopatra Information 2023). 

Based by multi-instrumentalist Oliver Baroni, together with enchanting chanteuse Emanuela Hutter in 1998, the band turned the speak of Europe as they relentlessly toured by Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the U.Okay. Their distinctive, danceable, energetic model of rock n’ roll model, mixed with their impeccable musical prowess, and spectacular songwriting expertise made them a tour deforce that LA-based document label Cleopatra Information couldn’t deny. They shortly signed The Hillbilly Moon Explosion for the first-ever U.S.-based pressings of their albums on each CD and vinyl, together with the unimaginable 2002 debut album, fittingly-entitled Introducing The Hillbilly Moon Explosion, adopted by their sophomore effort, Bourgeois Child, and, then, the excellent third album All Grown Up.  

“How Quickly Is Now?” is considered one of English Rock Band The Smiths’ most venerable songs and was initially featured as a B-side of the 1984 single “William, It Was Actually Nothing.” It ” was subsequently featured on the compilation album Hatful of Hole and on U.S, Canadian, Australian, and Warner U.Okay. editions of Meat Is Homicide. It was belatedly launched as a single within the U.Okay. in 1985, when it reached #24 on the U.Okay. singles chart and was re-released in 1992 when it reached #16.  

“How Quickly Is Now?” is just the start of extra music to come back from this critically-acclaimed band.
